Nelson Monarch Rosé 2008

Richmond Plains Rosé is a fruity and elegant wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Nicely chilled this wine is perfect as an aperitif or summertime drinking.

All Richmond Plains grapes are grown on our own vineyard. Both the growing of our grapes and winemaking are certified organic by BioGro New Zealand.

Nose: Fragrant with red cherry, raspberry and strawberry aromas.

Palate: Delicious soft strawberry, raspberry and red currant flavours.  This wine has a refreshing, dry minerally finish which makes it an excellent accompaniment to a wide variety of lighter flavoured food dishes.

Vegan: This wine is suitable for vegan diets.

Vintage: These Pinot Noir grapes, hand picked from 16 year old vines, are trained on Scott Henry trellising to achieve optimum exposure to the sun. A hot, dry summer contributed to an early harvest with good quality fruit and excellent flavours.   

Wine Making: All fruit was crushed and destemmed and held overnight in the press to allow for colour extraction before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characters.

Sulphur:  This wine is made with minimal levels of sulphur/SO2/preservative 220.

Alcohol: 13%   Acidity: 5.9 g/L    Residual sugar: 3.8 g/L
